A novel idea to use thermoplastic to fill potholes

We can all agree, poor road conditions are never a good thing.

From the time it takes to repair and the inconvenience it causes the drivers, to the cost for those repairs, there has to be a new solution.

Thermoplastic: A new way to repair and fill potholes

Potholes are a problem for all road users and winter weather conditions can only exacerbate the difficulties of dealing with damaged roads.

A company in Denmark, Geveko Markings, has come up with a clever way to repair potholes using thermoplastic.

According to Geveko's website, its ChipFill® system is specifically designed thermoplastic for repairing cracks and smaller holes to minimise the risk of water entering them and making them bigger.

The process only takes about 20 minutes and can be performed without the need for bulky machinery, all that’s required is a brush and a gas burner. The surface is then sprinkled with anti-skid aggregates and then it’s ready for use.

With this method, the costs of road repair are significantly lower, and the inconvenience of road repairs for drivers will become a thing of the past.
